THE CATULLI SHOP - A PLACE FULL OF STORIES
On cool mornings, dew glittered on the windows of the small shop on Bahnhofstrasse. Inside it was warm – filled with voices, laughter, and familiar stories.
When the bell above the door rang, everyone knew: the first children had arrived. With their pocket money jingling, they rushed to the counter, where Franz Catulli was already waiting with a smile. He knew their every preference. "Raspberry candies, Jakob?" – and the paper bag was already half full.
But the little shop was more than just a candy paradise. It was a meeting place, a hub for conversation, and the heart of the village. People exchanged gossip and little secrets, laughed, and listened. Over the years, the shop became a symbol of community and reliability. Even when supermarkets arrived, Franz's shop remained – a place where you took away more than just groceries: a feeling of home.
Because the Catulli Lädele was never just a shop. It was a piece of home. And it will remain so in the future.
" We don't just build spaces , we build connections – bridges between yesterday and tomorrow . "
CATULLI LIVES ON
The building at Bahnhofstraße 17 has a rich history. Even before 1909, it housed a small general store that also sold produce grown on the premises. Shortly thereafter, a lottery outlet opened, which developed into an important local meeting place over many decades.
Over the years, the business has undergone several generational changes and has been run with great personal dedication and commitment. Despite some challenging times – including economic difficulties, necessary relocations, and structural changes – the owners have always managed to maintain the business with foresight and perseverance.
The small shop became a local institution: a place for exchange, where people not only shopped but also shared village gossip and news. Many Rankweil residents still remember spending their first pocket money there on sweets and small booklets – long before supermarkets existed.
With the retirement of the last owner, this chapter finally came to a close. Nevertheless, the former "Lädele" remains an important part of the local cultural heritage – as a symbol of continuity, community, and the vibrant coexistence in a place that has constantly evolved over the decades.

THE PAST BECOME THE FUTURE
At Bahnhofstrasse 17, a future-oriented, four-story office building is being constructed, offering generous space for office and service use, providing new room for ideas, innovation and growth.
Thanks to sustainable construction and generous window elements, the rooms benefit from optimal lighting conditions and a pleasant indoor climate. Smart technologies enable intelligent control of climate and lighting systems – for efficient work at a high level.
A modern working environment is far more than just a place of creation .
It stands for flexibility, sustainability, and intelligent structures that are up to the challenges of our time. Through the use of advanced technologies, ergonomic equipment, and ecological concepts, spaces are created that promote creativity, concentration, and well-being equally.
The Catulli opens its doors to new chapters: encounters, opportunities and visions.
With its prime location – directly opposite the Vinomna Center – it ideally complements the center of Rankweil.
INNOVATIVE HYBRID BUILDING WITH SMART TECHNOLOGY
The new building combines modern architecture with sustainable construction. The dark, rounded shingle facade gives the structure a striking, elegant appearance and blends harmoniously into its surroundings.
The facade is complemented by finely crafted shutters, which not only serve functionally as additional sun protection to the electric screens, but also add warmth to the overall design.
Geothermal energy is used for the energy supply. The efficient system utilizes natural heat from the earth and ensures a comfortable indoor climate all year round with minimal energy consumption.
As a smart building, the building is equipped with intelligent technology: From automated control of lighting and shading to energy-saving heating and cooling systems to a modern access concept – everything is designed for comfort, efficiency and future viability.
